Fine example of these “memoirs of a Russian War agent”, who gives here an account of his extensive missions during WWI: to the Western front in France, to London, and to New York and Washington.
Provenance
Avenir Nizoff (a pianist who lived in Edmonton, Canada, in the second half of the 20th century, and gathered a large, wide-ranging library of Russian works, especially covering art, history and literature, with a strong representation of émigré works).

Condition
In fine condition, only with very light rubbing and a couple of pages with stains; last leaf with Nizoff’s typical pencil annotations of pages of interest.
A very rich and overlooked 17th-c. travel account, with quantity of original material on Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Siberia, including music and songs in the vernacular, as well as many engraved plates, especially on amber mining, sable hunting on ski and Easter celebrations in Moscow. A rare Rossica.
