Showing celebrated works by Vereshchagin and Dou, including the protagonists’ portraits as well as large battles or views, and more unusual scenes.

From the estate of Grand Duke Mikhail Mikhailovich, by descent (1861-1929, a grandson of Tsar Nicholas I, who contracted a morganatic marriage with Pushkin’s granddaughter, Countess Sophie von Merenberg.
