Our Notes & References

First book edition of Blok’s epic poem, with his long introduction and the complete bibliography of this poem at the end. It was inspired by a visit the Silver Age poet made to Warsaw in 1909 following the death of his father. According to Blok himself, it was full of “revolutionary premonitions”. Composed during more than ten years, it remained unfinished.
