Rare in the decorated publisher’s boards: a complete example of the first edition with its 16 hand-coloured plates, especially remarkable for the few plates showing ladies racing. Other subjects of this pleasant horse book include jousting and historical scenes, a steeple chase and a race with monkey jockeys.
